BCC and the Selly Oak Campus

The college’s buildings provide a reception area and staff offices, a library and student study areas, various lecture rooms, a student lounge, dining room and kitchen and accommodation for single students and families. BCC is located right in the middle of the Selly Oak Campus of the University of Birmingham, near to one of the University libraries, the Orchard Learning Resource Centre and close to the BBC drama village (the college is often used for the filming of scenes for the ‘Doctors’ series). BCC students have access to a number of the University facilities.

IT & Library Resources

BCC has both networked and wireless broadband connections available for the use of staff and students and a library containing some of the more important course texts and resources.

Sports Facilities

BCC students may sign up for the University of Birmingham’s sports facilities as “community” members. There is a charge for membership, but it is competitive compared to other heath and sports clubs in Birmingham.
